Olympic Legacy Housing Research
Christine’s research aimed to help host cities transition Games facilities and infrastructure into successful community-oriented legacies, particularly transitioning Olympic Villages to affordable and social housing to meet a host city’s post-Games needs. In conducting this research, she analysed 18 Olympic host cities and their main Olympic Villages.

Richmond Olympic Oval Board of Directors
Christine has been an appointed member of the Richmond Olympic Oval Board of Directors since 2018 to govern the Richmond Olympic Oval. She also sits on the Audit and Finance and Business Planning Committees. The Richmond Olympic Oval where Christine won her Olympic gold medal, Canada’s third ever Olympic gold on home-soil.

Canada's Transit Recovery Strategy
David authored the Canadian Urban Transit Association’s (CUTA) COVID-19, Public Transit, and a Green, Inclusive Recovery Strategy. CUTA’s recovery strategy was developed to inform discussions with the Federal Government on the funding and policy support transit agencies need for economic recovery, both in the next Federal budget and beyond.

OLY Canada Commission
The OLY Canada Commission, est. 2021, represents “Team Canada Olympians” which includes both active and retired Olympians, and brings Canada into alignment with the IOC and World Olympian Association governance requirements. Christine the Commission can broaden support for sport in Canada, and ignite the spirit of the Games for more people across the country of all ages.

Electric-Battery Buses
David secured TransLink’s (Metro Vancouver’s Regional Transportation Authority) participation in the world’s first fast charge interoperability zero emission battery-bus program. David managed all project development efforts for the agency, including obtaining $10 Million from TransLink, Government of Canada, BC Hydro and the City of Vancouver to proceed with the pilot.

Teaching and Mentoring
David managed the Canadian Urban Transit Association’s National Youth Summit on Sustainable Transportation Program for over 10 years. Over 1,200 students, planners, engineers and community advocates have completed this leadership development program, where they are equipped to advocate and plan for investments in walking, cycling and transit.
